I worked as part of an international team who was working to digitize the population registers of the Ottoman Empire for a European Research Council Project titled "Urban Occupations"
My role in the project was to utilize OCR technology to convert 20th-century archival document imagery into accessible raw data, making it a usable source for analytical research.
